My entry for round 53 of IDW at ConceptArt.org, with the topic of main battle tanks.
The concept is an MBT that employs hover and stealth technologies/styling for a decisive edge in combat. I also wanted a fusion of World War feel with modern styling and technology.
This was a bit of a rush job due to time constraints and changing design directions a few times, but I think the overall feel for what I wanted carries across. The general consensus so far has been that it lacks needed detail, and I agree with that as well. I did want to keep the surface fairly smooth and simple for stealth purposes, but it could have used a bit more loving. I think the part that really works is the feel I wanted to give this piece, which I think in the end works well for it.
Note: You can read a lot more about the tank on the image text, so if you're interested I definitely suggest downloading instead of just a full view.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
